Monday 17th March 2025 - Parish Church of the Ascension Main Hall 8pm - 10:30pm
Please bring a small plate of food for the refreshments in the interval
Everyone who attends the Social will pay £5 instead of the usual Monday night fee of £3 with every penny being donated to the Association's chosen charity for this season:
The Trussell Trust an anti-poverty charity and community of food banks, including the Brent Foodbank. They work to ensure no one in the UK needs a food bank to survive, while providing food and practical support to people left without enough money to live on.Where Are They Now?
Most dances have a natural shelf life and are popular
for a few years before disappearing from programmes to replaced by more
modern ones. Typical examples that were very popular a few years ago but are
now rarely seen are Ramadan-ce and the Piper and the Penguin. However, some
remain on programmes year after year and are seemingly timeless - the best
example would be Montgomeries Rant, devised in 1749 and still as popular
today as it has ever been.
Eventually, even these dances might fade away
after decades of popularity and tonight's programme is dedicated to asking
"Where are they Now?"
